BeeStop is a family-owned company in Scottsdale, Arizona — started not in a boardroom, but around a kitchen table, by people who decided their families deserved better protection.

It started with a video. Our family watched footage of a “push-in” home invasion — a stranger forcing his way through a front door the moment it cracked open. The homeowner did everything right, and it still wasn’t enough. We couldn’t unsee it.

Ours isn’t a typical security company. The people behind BeeStop come from law enforcement and dentistry — one family member spent a career watching how break-ins actually happen, and another spent one obsessing over precision, comfort, and doing a job right the first time. Put those two instincts together and you get the way we think about your front door.

We looked at what was on the market and saw two extremes: flimsy chains and bars that a determined shoulder could defeat, and “smart” locks that add convenience but no real strength at the door. Neither felt like real control. So we built The Guard — a single device that anchors into the strongest part of your doorway and lets you choose exactly how open, or how locked down, your home is at any moment.

We’re still a family business, still in Scottsdale, and still building for the one thing that started it all: the peace of mind that comes from knowing your door is truly yours.

The Guard fits standard doors with molding 1 to 3 inches wide and up to 5/8 inch thick. It is compatible with wood, metal, and fiberglass doors, and works on both left- and right-hand doors.

Yes. While not specifically designed for French doors, The Guard is fully compatible. We recommend installing on the door you open most frequently.

The Guard mounts into your door’s header with the included hardware, so installation involves drilling a few mounting holes. That solid anchor into the structural header is exactly what makes it so strong — your door becomes an extension of the wall.

The Guard runs on an internal rechargeable battery — you simply plug it in to charge, with no disposable batteries to swap.
